She came in as a student with no background. She stayed to teach the next one.

Sreedevi was a housewife. She wanted to restart her career — but she had no professional design background, no industry experience, and no clear path forward. Her only exposure to design was basic mobile editing and Canva. Everything she was about to learn, she would be learning from scratch.

She joined the Trivandrum campus in July 2024, studying both Graphic Design and UI/UX. In the beginning, the tools were unfamiliar. Thinking from a user's perspective was a discipline she had to build deliberately — it didn't come naturally at first. But she kept showing up, kept practising, kept asking questions until things started to click.

Then came the real brief. During training, she was assigned to design the UI for Adsomia — an actual client, an actual deliverable, with actual expectations. The client appreciated her work. For Sreedevi, that moment meant something much bigger than approval. It meant she was capable of this. Not in theory. In practice. In the real world.

That project led directly to a placement. She joined Adsomia as a UI/UX Designer.

What happened next is the part of the story that matters most. After working at Adsomia, Sreedevi came back to Unlearn — not as a student this time, but as faculty. For the past year, she has been the UI/UX teacher at the Trivandrum campus. The person who sits where she once sat. The voice that answers the questions she once asked.

A housewife who had never used professional design tools became a designer. Then became the teacher of designers.
