Most people use AI for one thing: writing captions. In Claude Class Lesson 1 we showed that Claude can do far more. It writes proposals, reads long reports, and builds tools, web pages and slides. These are the five prompts we promised in the reel. Each one practises the most important habit in using AI well.
How to use these prompts
- Open claude.ai or the Claude app and sign up free with your Google account or email.
- Tap Copy prompt on any card below.
- Paste it, then replace everything in [brackets] with your own details. That is the context.
- Not happy with the answer? Reply the way you would to a teammate: “make it shorter”, “more formal”, “in Malayalam”.
1. Find out what Claude can do for your job
Start here. Instead of guessing what AI is good for, you describe your day and Claude suggests uses that fit it, with the exact prompt for each one.
I work as a [your job] in [city]. A normal day for me includes [3–4 tasks you do every day]. What are 5 specific ways you can save me time this week? For each, give me the exact prompt I should type to you.
Example: I work as a bakery owner in Trivandrum. A normal day for me includes taking WhatsApp orders, writing Instagram posts, tracking daily sales and replying to customer complaints.
2. Write a message or email
Use it for the messages you keep putting off: a late delivery, a payment reminder, a polite no. You get an English and a Malayalam version to choose from.
Write a polite WhatsApp message to [who: client / boss / customer] about [situation]. Context: [what happened, what you want them to do]. Tone: friendly but professional. Keep it under 80 words. Give me 2 versions: one in English, one in Malayalam.
Example: …to a customer about a late cake delivery. Context: the delivery van broke down, the cake will reach by 6 pm, and I want to offer 10% off their next order.
3. Read a file and summarise it
Attach a long PDF, report or agreement first using the paperclip button. Telling Claude who you are and what decision you face is what turns a generic summary into a useful one.
I've attached [what the file is: a report / syllabus / bill / contract]. I'm a [your role] and I need to [what decision or task this is for]. Summarise it in 5 bullet points, then list anything I should act on or be careful about.
Example: I've attached a rental agreement. I'm a small business owner and I need to decide whether to sign it this week.
4. Build a simple web page
You don't need to know code. Claude builds the page and shows a live preview in the chat. Ask for changes in plain words until it looks right.
Build me a simple one-page website for [business name], a [type of business] in [place]. Include: a headline, 3 services, prices [if any], and a "Chat on WhatsApp" button. Use [2 brand colours]. Make it look clean and work well on mobile.
Example: …for Kayal Bakery, a home bakery in Kazhakoottam. Services: birthday cakes, plum cakes, cupcakes. Use orange and cream.
5. Let Claude brief itself
When you don't know what context to give, ask Claude to interview you first. This is the easiest way to avoid the biggest beginner mistake: typing two words like a Google search.
I want your help with [your task or goal]. Before you answer, ask me 5 questions that will help you understand my situation fully. Wait for my answers, then give me your best plan.
Example: I want your help with planning a 30-day Instagram content calendar for my bakery.
Which Claude plan do you need?
For these five prompts, the free plan is enough. Here is what each plan includes, based on Anthropic's pricing page as of October 2026.
| Plan | Models |
|---|---|
| Free | Haiku, Sonnet |
| Pro | Haiku, Sonnet, Opus · Fable on usage credits |
| Max | Haiku, Sonnet, Opus, Fable |

- Keep the conversation going. The first answer is a draft. Ask Claude to change the tone, shorten it, or try again with a different angle.
- Show an example.Paste a message or post you like and say “write it in this style”.
- Say who it's for.“For a first-time customer” and “for my boss” produce very different messages.
- Check facts before you send. Claude can make mistakes, so verify numbers, dates and claims that matter.
